This is a vintage picture from Paragon called Whistle-stop.
It was designed by Carol and Don Henning.
Makes a great gift for a railroad person.
Before roaring diesels came to speed through towns as if they were non-existent, there was a slower-paced time that is just a wonderful memory.
Most villages grew along a railroad track, and when the whistle sounded far off, folks had time to walk down to the depot to watch the puffing, clanking locomotive and its colorful cars pull up to the platform.
It sat there hissing steam while people and baggage came and went, and then, with a solemn look at his vest-pocket watch, the conductor called "Board", swung onto the step, and off chugged the mysterious, complicated monster into history.
Designed to fit aframe size of 18 x 22.
Kit includes stamped picture on superb homespun, approximately 22 x26, acrylic yarn, and instructions and diagram. The needle is missing.
